Anna Colangelo is a native of northern Virginia.  She completed her Bachelors in Psychology at the University of Virginia.  After graduating from UVA, Anna returned to northern Virginia where she worked for an evaluation research firm on mental health and physical health based studies.  Anna returned to graduate school in 2006 to pursue her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from American University.  Anna has completed practicums at the American University Counseling Center and the James J. Gray Psychotherapy Clinic at American University.  She also completed a year-long externship at the DC VA Medical Center and a summer externship at Neuropsychology Associates of Fairfax.

Anna is interested in working with a wide range of concerns, and her primary clinical interests include depression, anxiety, and relationship difficulties.
