LGBTQ Therapy Group

This is an interpersonal process group for members of the LGBTQ community who want to learn more about themselves and their interactions with others.  In group, members will have the opportunity to share common struggles, gain support, and give and receive feedback in a safe environment.  This group is different from the Trajectories support group because it is a closed therapy group.

Mobile Stress Management Clinic
(Drop-in group)

If you are alive, you will experience stress. No one is immune. Stress happens whenever your mind and your body react to some real or imagined situation. The Mobile Stress Management Clinic is designed to provide techniques to help students manage their stress level because prolonged stress can cause fatigue, concentration problems and other symptoms. Come by and learn ways to control your stress level now!

Thursdays
1 to 2 p.m.

Trajectories Group
(LGBTQ Drop-in Group)

CAPS is now offering a support and discussion group for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer students. The group is also open to those individuals who are questioning their sexual or gender identity, as well as those who choose not to label their sexual or gender identity, but fall somewhere on the continuum.

The group is facilitated by a trained counselor who aims to make it a safe space where Mason students can come together to connect with peers and receive support for personal issues related to their sexual and gender identities. Discussion topics are open and generated by the members in attendance, but potential issues include coming out to self and others, dating and relationships, homo-, bi-, and trans-phobia, and campus and workplace issues.

Tuesdays 1:30 to 3 p.m. Douglass
