Services

Ms.Qiong He is a Graduate Assistant in Counseling and Psychological Services' Learning Services program. She is originally from Hunan, China, and received her Bachelor of Arts in Literature from Central South University in 1997. After completing the Master program in Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics at the College of Foreign Languages, Hunan University, China in June 2003 Ms, He has been working at the Research Institute of Vocational and Adult Education (RIVAE), the Academy of Educational Sciences of Hunan Province. Having been fully involved in coordination of academic research associations, curriculum, textbook and testing development, Ms. He came to a heightened awareness of the need to pursue school counseling in order to meet the educational and psychological needs of students. Ms. He is currently pursuing another Master degree in Counseling at the Mason Department of Education and Human Development.

Ms. He works as a Graduate Assistant to conduct academic skills workshops, including Time Management, Improving Concentration, Overcoming Procrastination, to help students develop and refine particular study skills. In addition to the regular workshops, she provides individual academic counseling on the above topics. Ms. He’s interests include: treatment of academic discipline and motivation, self-esteem, Asian cultural identity, and women's issues.
