Jeff Pollard

Psychological
Services

Dr. Jeffrey Pollard is a native of the Washington metropolitan area. He completed his Bachelors and Masters degrees at Old Dominion University, and in 1978 a earned a doctorate at The University of Virginia. He served as a staff psychologist at Villanova University outside Philadelphia for four years before becoming Director of Health & Counseling Services at Denison University in Granville, OH where he served for 22 years. For three years he was Director of Counseling & Health Services at the University of West Florida in Pensacola. He came to George Mason University in the summer of 2006.

College counseling has been Dr Pollard’s chosen profession for 30 years and he finds each day unique and exciting. “I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Mason students. They are smart, engaging, energetic and motivated. I am privileged to witness their growth and successes, as well as to lend support to their challenges.“

As a practitioner, Dr. Pollard is a generalist and works with a wide variety of student concerns. He is also committed as director of the Mason Counseling and Psychological Services to providing an outstanding program that is inclusive, educational, professional, and designed to maximize students’ success at Mason.
